Nestlé introduces Vital Pursuit food line for weight management

Nestlé introduces Vital Pursuit food line for weight management

Nestlé is launching Vital Pursuit, a new line of food products designed to accompany GLP-1 weight loss medication users and those focused on weight management. The products are high in protein, a good source of fibre and portion-aligned to match the appetite of individuals using weight loss medication. The new line is also suitable for individuals seeking a balanced diet while managing their weight. Vital Pursuit marks Nestlé's first food brand tailored for GLP-1 users, aiming to complement the dietary needs of millions of Americans prescribed weight loss medication or actively managing their weight. The product line includes various frozen formats, such as bowls with whole grains or protein pasta, sandwich melts and pizzas, priced at $4.99 and below. Vital Pursuit products are portion-aligned and contain essential nutrients, including gluten-free options and items suitable for air frying. Steve Presley, CEO of Nestlé North America, said: "At Nestlé, we want to be there for every moment in our consumers' lives – today and in the future. As the use of medications to support weight loss continues to rise, we see an opportunity to serve those consumers." "Vital Pursuit provides accessible, great-tasting food options that support the needs of consumers in this emerging category. We're leveraging our deep understanding of consumers and nutritional science to stay ahead of the trends that are shaping consumer behaviours, and innovating across our portfolio to deliver products people will love." Tom Moe, president of Nestlé USA's meals division, added: "We know that every consumer on a health journey has individualised needs and considerations, and having options to support those needs will continue to play an important role". "Over the past several years, we have been expanding choices across our meals portfolio to address consumer eating habits, and as the market evolves, we'll continue to expand Vital Pursuit with more product formats for our consumers." Vital Pursuit will hit shelves in Q4 with 12 SKUs available at select retailers across the US.
