Lindahls introduces range of high-protein cheese and milk drinks

Lindahls introduces range of high-protein cheese and milk drinks

Lactalis UK & Ireland has launched a new protein range under the Lindahls brand, responding to growing consumer demand for dairy protein.

The range includes high-protein, low-fat cheeses such as Cottage Cheese, Gouda Slices, Greek Cheese and Quark. According to the company, the line-up "targets affluent, urban shoppers aged 45+ who exercise regularly and are seeking out protein for weight loss and maintenance, as well as muscle recovery".

The range also features two new fat-free, flavoured protein milk drinks with collagen. Available in retail from March.

Heloise Le Norcy-Trott, group marketing director for Lactalis UK & Ireland, explained: “Consumer interest in health and wellness has been rebounding since 2021 and functional food continues to drive growth and excitement within the category, with no end in sight. As category experts, this is the opportune moment for us to launch a great-tasting protein cheese and milk range.”

 The range includes:

  • Lindahls Protein Cottage Cheese (175g): A creamy and versatile product with 14% protein (25g per pot) and 0.7% fat. It’s made with skimmed milk and is both vegetarian and lactose-free.

  • Lindahls Protein Gouda Slices (5 slice pack): These flavourful, meltable slices contain 30% protein (38g per pack) and are suitable for vegetarians. Lactalis stated that the product provides a high-protein alternative to traditional cheese slices.

  • Lindahls Protein Greek Cheese (135g): This "crumbly" cheese delivers 20% protein (27g per pack) and is reduced in fat (10%).

  • Lindahls Protein Quark (500g): A creamy, fat-free soft cheese with 13% protein (65g per pot).

  • Lindahls Protein Milk with Collagen (500ml): Available in chocolate and strawberry flavours, with 38g protein, 11g collagen and no added sugars.

The Lindahls Protein Cottage Cheese and Protein Gouda Slices will be available in Waitrose from 19 March. They will also be stocked in Ocado from 26 March. In May, the range will launch in Morrisons stores.
