Kodiak expands product line with new trail bars and frozen breakfast sandwiches

Breakfast food brand Kodiak has launched two new product lines in the US: Trail Bars and Frozen Breakfast Sandwiches. This expansion not only diversifies Kodiak's offerings but also reflects a strategic move to capture growing consumer interest in protein-rich, convenient meal options.

The Trail Bars, available in Cranberry Chocolate Chip and Chocolate Almond flavours, are designed for on-the-go consumers seeking nutritious snacks. Each bar contains 7g of protein and is made with high-quality ingredients such as real chocolate, nuts, seeds and fruit, positioning them as a healthy choice for active lifestyles.

In a departure from traditional breakfast offerings, Kodiak's Frozen Breakfast Sandwiches feature maple flapjacks in place of conventional bread. These sandwiches come in two varieties: Sausage and Cheddar, and Bacon and Colby Jack, both boasting 20g of protein.

This approach aims to cater to consumers looking for hearty breakfast options that align with their nutritional needs, while also emphasising the use of 100% whole grains and the absence of added nitrates or nitrites.

Kodiak's latest products align with broader trends in the food and beverage industry, where there is a rising demand for healthier, protein-packed foods that are convenient for busy lifestyles. The introduction of these products follows the successful launch of Kodiak's Protein-Packed Granola, indicating a sustained commitment to innovation in response to evolving consumer preferences.

Valerie Oswalt, CEO of Kodiak, noted that these new offerings are designed to meet consumers "where they are," whether they're outdoors or navigating busy mornings. This focus on convenience and nutrition is critical as the market increasingly shifts towards products that support an active lifestyle without compromising on taste.

The new Trail Bars and Breakfast Sandwiches are now available at major retailers, including Walmart, Target and Publix, as well as online platforms like Kroger.

As Kodiak continues to expand its product lineup, the company aims to leverage its reputation for high-quality, protein-rich foods to solidify its position in the breakfast category.
