Klöckner Pentaplast (KP), a German manufacturer of plastic packaging products, has launched two new recyclable barrier flow wrap films: KP FlexiFlow EH 155 R and KP FlexiFlow PH 255 R.
These films can reduce packaging weight by up to 75% compared to alternative solutions, which the company says represents "a significant leap forward in sustainable food packaging design".
The KP FlexiFlow PH 255 R, made from polypropylene (PP) film, contains over 93% PP, exceeding recyclability guidelines. Meanwhile, the KP FlexiFlow EH 155 R has more than 95% polyethylene (PE) content, which according to KP, sets a new standard for recyclable barrier films.
The KP FlexiFlow PH 255 R can achieve speeds of up to 120 packs per minute, integrating seamlessly into existing high-speed production lines.
Both films also feature strong aesthetics and antifog technology, and are suitable for various applications, including fresh meats, cheeses, processed foods and produce.
