Electrolit to build $400m US manufacturing facility in Texas

Electrolit to build $400m US manufacturing facility in Texas

Electrolit, a hydration beverage brand, is set to build a $400 million manufacturing facility in Waco, Texas, US.

The 600,000-square-foot plant, the company's first US-based production site, is scheduled to open in early 2026. The decision to locate in Waco is part of Electrolit’s strategic growth in the US, where it partners with Keurig Dr Pepper for sales and distribution.

Electrolit has acquired land in Waco’s Texas Central Park, the city’s largest industrial area. Electrolit’s decision to build its facility in this area is the result of collaboration between the City of Waco, McLennan County, the Waco Industrial Foundation and the Greater Waco Chamber, all of which have supported the project.

The automated production and distribution facility will create over 200 local jobs and aims to produce Electrolit domestically by 2026.

The Waco site will use recycled and non-virgin packaging materials when available, in line with state plastic regulations. Rail infrastructure will help distribute products, reducing carbon emissions and will allow for future expansion phases. The project will be developed with Stellar

The Waco site will have the capacity to incorporate non-virgin and recycled packaging materials when available, as Electrolit remains dedicated to complying with the state’s plastic usage regulations. Rail infrastructure will be utilized to distribute outbound finished products, significantly reducing carbon emissions and will be able to accommodate future expansion phases.

City of Waco mayor Jim Holmes said: “Attracting a business like Electrolit meets the economic development objectives of our city by bringing in a quality business, a great management team, a significant financial commitment and good jobs that help provide financial security to our Waco residents. Electrolit also has a track record of support and involvement in the local community, and we look forward to this business being a part of all the great things going on in Waco.”
