Pernod Ricard-owned brand Absolut has expanded its drinks portfolio by entering the ready-to-serve (RTS) category with its new line of cocktails. The new offerings are a vodka mojito and raspberry lemonade cocktail. The vodka mojito blends Absolut vodka with lime and mint flavours along with sugar syrup. The raspberry lemonade cocktail, on the other hand, pairs Absolut vodka with raspberry and lemon, also accompanied by sugar syrup. The RTS cocktails - which have an ABV of 15% - are said to provide a light and sweet flavour, with each bottle containing five servings. Through consumer research, Absolut saw strong performance its raspberry lemonade and vodka mojito cocktails. Reshma Dhati, senior brand director of marketing, Absolut, said: "With prepared cocktails as the fastest growing spirits category, trending to overtake wine and spirits this year, we're excited for Absolut to officially enter into the ready-to-serve space". Another launch in the RTS sector, Absolut partnered with The Coca-Cola Company to release an Absolut vodka and Sprite RTD can, with an ABV of 5%. The can – which initially launched in Europe in November last year – is now available to purchase in the UK.
